Though I did not serve on the ship during a war. My Greatgrandfather who inspired me to be the man I am today, was on the USS Medusa, at Pearl Harbor, on that dreded day. 4-5years a go, I was in the Navy Sea Cadets, and on July 4th, 2005 or (06) I was able to accompany the others on the ship as we shot the 40mm rear gun mount, in rememberance of all those who have served and are serving our country. I want to thank all those who served on the Orleck, and I want to thank those who gave people like me the chance to see what it was like to serve on a beautiful ship like the Orleck. Thank you all.

Are you aware that retirees will not get a raise this year and possible next year, Because the raise has been tied to the price of oil. So until oilgoes back to last years prices we will not see any change in our retirement pay.

http://www.veteranprograms.com/id194.html Many veterans encountered problems when trying to prove that their difficult-to-diagnose or undiagnosed illnesses were connected to military service. This affected these veterans’ access to disability compensation. http://www.veteranprograms.com/id194.html In response, VA asked Congress for the authority to provide compensation benefits to veterans who are chronically disabled by undiagnosed illnesses. http://www.veteranprograms.com/id194.html Click on hyperlinks to read more about these new Compensation Programs. http://www.veteranprograms.com/id194.html Happy Anniversary USAF! http://www.veteranprograms.com/id194.html

Was on Orleck for only two weeks in 1979 (I think). It hit a sand bar in San Diego and I was shipped off.
